Open every day, Sunda Bar and Kitchen is a vibrant space bringing together the highest quality food with joyful drinks. Named after the tectonic plate that joins large stretches of South East Asia, the restaurant’s menu takes inspiration from this region with a leaning focus on the celebrated flavours of Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. Sunda’s menu is designed for sharing with ample provisions for vegetarians.

Whether you’re looking for lunch, dinner pre/post theatre, private event, or after-work drinks Sunda is a relaxed environment to enjoy time with friends or colleagues.

The food menu offers raw dishes including Salmon and Avocado Taki Taki, Beef Tomato Tiradito and moves onto dishes such as Lemongrass fried chicken with sunda sauce; Thai style KFC cauliflower with tamarind mayonnaise; and Vietnamese jellyfish salad with pickled fennel and chilli, Malaysian red chicken curry; and Sambal oelek aubergine with grilled chilli, pickled mushroom.

Don’t forget to sample the creative cocktail list that takes on the classics with a Sunda twist such as Thai Negroni alongside crowd-pleasing Slushies including Lychee Daiquiri, Vietnamese, Iced Coffee and Sunda Colada.

The team behind Sunda is made up of Jamie Younger (The Begging Bowl, Peckham), Phil Sutton (The Perry Hill Pub, Catford) and Adam Papa (Happiness Forgets and Ever After, Shoreditch and Twenty Light Spirits). Head chef Charles Lee leads the kitchen drawing on his Malaysian heritage and extensive experience which followed working with some of the country’s most renowned chefs.
