As in New York, there is a Balthazar Boulangerie housed next door to the restaurant where every loaf of bread, croissant, pain au chocolat and more is made in-house
Open 7 days a week, the Boulangerie, overseen by Head Pastry Chef, Régis Beauregard (formerly of The Ritz) and serviced by Balthazar’s wholesale bakery in Hercules Road, serves home-made artisan breads, pastries, salads, boxes of macaroons, cakes, sandwiches and much more to eat in, take away or have delivered. In addition, the Boulangerie offers a celebration cake menu.
Cakes serve from 6 to 8 or 10 to 12 people and vary in price range from £15 up to £45. Cakes and tarts include: chocolate raspberry mousse, coconut yuzu, lemon tart, salted caramel chocolate tart, seasonal cheesecake, Sachertorte, tarte aux pommes, fraisier cake and can be personalised for the customer. The liveried Balthazar bike also delivers their delicious products, whether it is breakfast, lunch or pastries to the office or home for free within the WC2 area.
Deliveries outside this area can be made at an additional charge. Available between the hours of 8am and 5pm from Monday to Friday, there is a minimum spend of £10. The team can also cater for a larger event – be it a canapé party, book launch, press junket or private party.
The Boulangerie is bijoux and bursting with delicious smells of coffee and freshly baked bread. Seating inside allows customers to watch the world go by whilst indulging their patisserie passions.
