American Bar

In the world of cocktails, the American Bar at The Savoy is something of a hallowed site. It was here in the late 19th century that American-style cocktails burst onto the London drinking scene, and it was here in 1930 that Harry Craddock compiled The Savoy Cocktail Book, which remains a true bartender’s bible.

Decades down the line, the bar retains its impressive reputation.

With its warm art deco stylings and jazz piano, the American Bar is a hugely evocative space, and with the talented Erik Lorincz now in charge of the drinks its cocktail menu combines a respect for the classics with an inventive sense of the creative possibilities of the bartender’s art.
