Hubbard & Bell, a Brooklyn-style grill on the ground floor of The Hoxton, Holborn hotel, opened in October 2014 offing an all-day menu of grilled and smoked meats.
The restaurant celebrates American-style dining, with a strong focus on large family-style, sharing plates.
Highlights include a selection of burgers (£8-£12), hot smoked, dry rub short rib of beef (£17), chicken ‘a la brick’ with tomato aioli (£15), octopus with chorizo, potato and capers (£9) and 60-day aged steaks (from £19).
Drop by for breakfast on weekdays for eggs 'Benny' with back bacon, sourdough pancakes or lighter options like ricotta with figs.
Or prop up the bar until 2 am with a vintage 'shrub' cocktail flavoured with pumpkin, peach, pomegranate or quince.
