Below 20 Pop Up Bar at the Henrietta
Instead of going ‘dry’ this January, Experimental Group invites guests to try a low-alcohol alternative at the Below 20 pop-up bar at the Henrietta Hotel.
Imaginative low-alcohol cocktails will put a spin on the ‘January detox’ - with recipes including artichoke juice, blended avocado, grapefruit and cold pressed tomato juice, alongside spirits only containing less than 20% abv.
The pop-up launches not only as a more attractive alternative to dry January, but also as the trend for low alcohol drinks becomes increasingly popular in the UK. There has been a 28% rise in spending on no/low-alcohol beers over the last year, and over a quarter of shoppers are looking to cut down their alcohol consumption according to Nielsen.
Renowned for its collection of innovative bars, hotels and restaurants across the world - as well as killer cocktails - Experimental Group is introducing the Below 20 pop-up exclusively at their Covent Garden hotel for January 2019. Visitors can expect Experimental’s usual flair for unique cocktails, this time created exclusively using low-abv alcohols - think liqueurs, vermouth and fortified wine.
Cocktails at the Below 20 pop-up include: Manzanilla, lemon juice, honey syrup, clarified jerusalem artichoke juice, Pear juice, Jasmin orgeat, lemon, Lillet blanc, Henrietta’s low Abv Bloody Mary (Antics formula vermouth, cold press tomato juice, agave and wasabi syrup, lemon juice)
The Below 20 bar will offer a healthier choice and a chance to try something new for what is traditionally the bleakest month of the year! It launches on January 4th, and will run Friday to Sunday throughout the month of January.
