Disney’s Aladdin, already a hit musical on Broadway, takes London theatre audiences into a world filled with beauty, comedy and breath-taking spectacle.
It tells the well-known story of a savvy street urchin who finds himself caught up in the nefarious plans of an evil magician, falls for a stunning princess and befriends a wonderfully funny lamp-dwelling magical being.
Featuring much-loved songs including A Whole New World, Friend Like Me and Arabian Nights, along with new songs written especially for the stage production, Disney’s Aladdin features new music by Beauty And The Beast’s Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, The Lion King’s Sir Tim Rice and Elf’s Chad Beguelin, who also wrote the book.
The cast of Disney’s Aladdin is led by Here Lies Love and From Here To Eternity star Dean John-Wilson in the title role, with former Sugababe and In The Heights stars Jade Ewen as Princess Jasmine.
Fresh from the New York production, Trevor Dion Nicholas plays Genie, with Don Gallagher (Priscilla Queen Of The Desert) as Jafar, Peter Howe (Matilda The Musical) as Iago, Irvine Iqbal (Bend It like Beckham The Musical) as Sultan, and Nathan Amzi, Stephen Rahman-Hughes and Rachid Sabitri as Aladdin’s three friends Babkak, Kassim and Omar.
This production contains theatrical smoke & fog effects, pyrotechnics, strobe lighting & loud noises.
