Making the Garden a Greener Place

Making the Garden a Greener Place

Making the Garden a Greener Place

The earth doesn’t belong to us, we belong to it. At Covent Garden, we are committed to making our estate a greener, cleaner and healthier place for our visitors and locals to enjoy now and in the future as we take conscious steps to improve our environment.

We are proud to be the home of several brands leading the way in environmental sustainability. From Aveda raising funds for Water Aid to Dior's award-winning sustainable beauty product packaging, here’s our round-up of all the brands doing their bit for the environment as we celebrate Earth Day on Sunday 22nd April in Covent Garden.

Aveda

Aveda

Aveda is proud to be one of the leading beauty brands in environmental sustainability, with 85% of its products made from 100% recycled materials.

In honour of Earth Day, Aveda has set aside a whole month to celebrate and raise funds to protect the earth and its peoples. To help raise these vital funds, they are offering an incredible menu of beauty packages, with 100% of the proceeds going to Water Aid.

Floral Street Fragrance

Floral Street’s fragrances smell sweeter than ever now that they’ve been nominated for two major eco-awards for packaging.

Biodegradable, recyclable and reusable, the fragrance boxes can be repurposed to store jewellery, crystals and herb teas.

Farmstand

Farmstand

The majority vegan menu at Farmstand is free from gluten, dairy, added sugar and a carbon footprint. They don’t sell bottled water, have still and sparkling water on tap for anyone and only use compostable packaging. So they can rightly claim to have 0% landfill waste.

Miller Harris

Take in any fragrance bottle, from any brand, that’s past its best and Miller Harris will offer you 50% off one of their beautiful scents. Your old bottle will then be recycled. It’s a no-brainer! Only available until April 17th - hurry!

Dior

Dior Beauty

Nominated for an award for their outlook on sustainability, Dior has taken out the cellophane, excess cardboard and even the paper leaflet previously included with the beauty products, plus they only use oxygen in their aerosols.

Better yet, every single ingredient is ethically sourced from one of Dior’s three Dior Gardens in France.

Apple

In celebration of Earth Day 2018 and their annual Earth Day Challenge, the Apple Store staff will be wearing green and encouraging you to join them in their company’s commitment to the environment.
