Summer Family Fun at London Transport Museum
From Saturday 20 July to Sunday 1 September, families are welcome to London Transport Museum to take part in six weeks of STEM-inspired family workshops. From designing uniforms of the future to trying your hand at coding conundrums, themed drop-in sessions are taking place every day.
As well as these family workshops, make sure to explore the Museum’s Future Engineers gallery with their interactive train driving experience, visit the new Untangling the Tracks exhibition or your little ones can play in the popular All Aboard play zone. Book online to save and don’t forget kids go free!

Top designer Wayne Hemingway created today’s London Transport uniforms, recognisable the world over. But what does it take to make a great transport outfit? Take on the role of a material scientist to experiment and discover what keeps London’s transport workers equipped, safe and comfortable. Design and create new clothing for all your transport needs then test them for durability with water, heat, light and wind (hold on to your hats!).
Analyse and describe data patterns to identify potential fraud activity, and discover how fraud detection can be intuitive as much as it is based on facts.
Try your hand at coding a sequence of events and discover how codes keep London’s transport on the move
