In 2023 Covent Garden introduced a brand new decoration scheme for the first time in almost a decade. Inspired by a traditional Christmas, Covent Garden’s world-famous festive installation with over 40 gigantic bells with bows, 12 giant baubles and 8 spinning mirror balls, all displayed in our iconic Market Building has returned for thousands to enjoy.

Serving a selection of winter-inspired drinks, The Box Office Bar is the perfect pit-stop to break up a day of festive shopping in Covent Garden. Sip on mulled wine, Gingerbread Mules, Bailey's Hot Chocolates, Hot Honey Picantes and more, while surrounded by the ultimate festive spirit - not forgetting the iconic 55ft Christmas tree and decorations less than a minutes away!

Free to enter, The Chalet of Play is home to a Christmas market with fairground challenges at the Tinsel Toss, gaming-inspired missions in the LEGO Minecraft Zone and the chance to make your own LEGO Heart in the Build to Give area.
Visitors can also check out the Creativi-Tree, where they’ll be invited to construct a Christmas-themed model from a selection of LEGO pieces and hang it on a tree filled with other fan-made decorations.
There will also be a Gingerbread House on display at The Chalet of Play, multiple building activities and even an opportunity to grab a quick selfie with larger-than-life LEGO models of Santa Claus and Rudolf the reindeer - located in the Market Building.

World-renown champagne house Piper-Heidsieck have brought a Champagne Winter Garden to the Covent Garden Piazza this November where visitors can sip on a chilled glass of the famous champagne, as well as taste delicious Champagne cocktails and mocktails from French 75, Black Velvet and Bucks fizz - delicious!

Make sure to stop by Central Avenue in the Market Building where the Ladurée Festive Pop-Up will be serving delicious takeaway mulled wine and decadent hot chocolate along with their festive range of warm high-end viennoiserie and signature macarons.

This festive season the LEGO team have brought two LEGO sculptures of Santa and Rudolph to the West Piazza. Surrounded by a forest of Christmas trees with the iconic Covent Garden Market Building decorations as a perfect Christmas backdrop, this is the perfect festive photo moment.
Please note the photo moment is open throughout the day only and closed at night.

Live musical performances will take place throughout the neighbourhood from a variety of acts, including cast members from award-winning West End favourites The Lion King and cast members from Just For One Day, the smash hit musical that celebrates the 1985 Live Aid concerts and musical mashups and carol singing sets from musical theatre choirs. Performances will raise donations for Acting for Others.
Thursday 20th November - Enjoy two beautiful performances from The London International Gospel Choir with classic Christmas carols and musical medleys.

Daily from 27 November – 23 December: Step into a magical winter scene where little ones can climb aboard a Routemaster bus inspired interactive sleigh, with buttons and bells. Cheerful elves will be on hand to help capture the perfect family photo, while the man in red will be listening to those all-important Christmas wishes.
Saturday 6 December 8:30 – 10:00: Children with special educational needs, disabled children, and their families, can meet Santa and enjoy the Museum outside of regular hours. With gallery sounds turned off and the space closed to the general public, this early morning session offers a calm and welcoming environment. Make sure to book in advance here.
