As the heart of London’s theatreland, Covent Garden has long been a stage where creativity and community come together, and are proud to highlight its ongoing community charity partnership with Acting for Others. Founded in the 1960’s the charity provides financial and emotional support to those in times of need who have contributed to the workings of the theatre and the entertainment professions. In addition to individual grant making, the network has been able to provide counselling, benefit advice, support nursing home fees, help with retraining and help actors’ children and more recently, especially through the covid pandemic, support those in crisis.
Donations from Festive Thursday live performances from a variety of acts including case members from The Lion King, Just For One Day, and carol singing sets from theatre choirs will also be raising donations for the charity. Discover Festive Thursdays here.
