For an afternoon treat in Covent Garden, I highly recommend the Ivy Market Grill for their Champagne Cream Tea which includes freshly baked fruit scones, clotted cream and strawberry preserve - with a glass of Champagne and choice of teas, infusions or coffees.
For those who prefer something a bit more savoury, you can also order off the ‘All Day’ menu including The Prawn & Avocado Open Sandwich or the famous Ivy Shepard’s Pie - with slow braised lamb and beef, red wine sauce, plus cheddar potato mash.
Grind
Just around the corner from the Covent Garden Piazza is Grind. This coffee shop sets the stage for productive mornings with its stylish décor and excellent coffee and cocktails. When the sun is out, enjoy the option to work al fresco and soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
The French One: Ladurée
Ladurée’s Afternoon Tea - or should we say, L’heure Du Thé, is served every day in Covent Garden from 12pm until 6pm. It’s the perfect place to treat a loved one with panoramic views across Covent Garden’s West Piazza, and you can even watch the street performers outside St. Paul’s Church.
Royal Opera House Café
What better iconic London location to inspire you while you work? The Royal Opera House’s café is open from 12pm until 9pm and has a range of hot drinks, fresh food and tasty desserts to choose from. If you need a break from your screen, make sure to check out the rooftop terrace for stunning vistas of Covent Garden, perfect for people watching.
