From Lisbon with Love: You’ll find London’s BEST Pasteis de Nata (Portugese Egg Tarts) made fresh daily and Hot Chocolate to keep you and your loved ones warm this Christmas!
Co-founder Francisco Oliveira, whose family have been baking since 1900 (and currently own seven successful bakeries in Portugal), told us that the brand takes its name from Lisbon’s parish of Santa Maria de Belém where the Pastel de Nata were invented in the 18th century by Catholic monks.
The tarts are handmade daily by the Portuguese master pastry chef and his team in full view of customers - and a bell is rung every time a fresh batch of pastries comes out of the oven!
Originally founded in Taiwan as a small dumpling shop, with delectable signatures including Xiao Long Baos and Steamed Chicken Soup, the Din Tai Fung brand has since grown globally, winning numerous awards, including the prestigious one Michelin star, and enjoys an international celebrity following.
Not only will you find some of the best dumplings in town (made fresh to order), Din Tai Fung in Covent Garden are now serving up limited edition Festive Cocktails and Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao with Sea Salt Cream Dip.
Maison Ladurée Festive Macarons - you will find limited edition flavours available by their store right next to Covent Garden’s Christmas Tree - including: Christmas Brioche, Fir Tree & Roasted Hazelnuts plus the classic favourites such as Salted Caramel, Pistachio, Rose, and Chocolate of course!
Ladurée was founded in 1862 by Louis-Ernest Ladurée. The company’s first shop was located on rue Royale in Paris. In 1871, Ladurée opened a second location on the Champs-Élysées.
Ladurée’s iconic Covent Garden store serves all day dishes, afternoon tea, pastries, cakes, special teats and macaron gift boxes from the shop.
