Covent Garden will host a spectacular Lion Dance performance on 10th February, celebrating Little New Year, also known as the Festival of the Kitchen God, marking the beginning of Lunar New Year festivities. The performance is free to attend, taking place in front of the illuminated Market Building.
Celebrate Chinese New Year in Chinatown London. On Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd February, London will take to the streets of the West End to celebrate the Year of the Horse.

This Lunar New Year, Din Tai Fung marks the Year of the Fire Horse with a limited-edition menu inspired by strength, warmth and abundance. Available from 9-22 February, the seasonal specials reflect the Fire Horse’s energetic spirit through robust proteins, warming broths and generous sharing dishes.
The menu features Soy Noodle Salad, light and delicately seasoned; Dynamite Prawns, crisp and celebratory; Prawn & Egg Fried Rice with XO Sauce, Beef Tenderloin with Broccoli, Lion’s Head Meatball Soup, Chicken & Prawn Tom Yum Xiao Long Bao and more. To toast the season, Din Tai Fung Bar as also introduced two Lunar New Year drinks. The Golden Longan Sour and the Goji & Passionfruit Tea, served hot.
