The Covent Garden Cool Down

Covent Garden will be celebrating the last summer bank holiday the only way we know-how, with an ice cream festival. Introducing the Covent Garden Cool Down, a 5-day festival from Thursday 22nd until Monday 26th August from 12pm - 8pm on the East Piazza, featuring the likes of Avobar's Avo Soft Serve, Morelli's Aperol Sorbet, Ladurée's Iced Macarons and more.

The chicest patisserie in Paris first shot to fame thanks to its delectable, dainty and utterly irresistible ‘macarons’ - pretty baked shells filled with a creamy ganache in a rainbow of colours and flavours.

To celebrate the Covent Garden Cool Down, Ladurée will be offering signature ice creams, sorbets and delicious Iced Macarons (ice cream sandwiched between a giant macaron!)


 

Avobar

For avocado fans, Avobar, London’s first all-avo casual dining concept, will be offering their signature Avo Soft Serve throughout the weekend.

Petersham Nurseries

Petersham Nurseries will be serving quintessentially British strawberry ice cream made from organic Haye Farm strawberries.


 

Morelli's Gelato

To mark the celebrations, Morelli’s will create a series of six bespoke ice cream flavours to celebrate Covent Garden's heritage as a fruit and vegetable market.

The gelateria will take a delicious twist on fruits and vegetables once sold in the iconic Covent Garden Market. As well as selling new flavours such as Aperol Spritz, Praline, Chocolate Velvet and Banoffee Pie.

Miami favourite Buns & Buns may be known for putting breads and buns back at the centre of the table, but over the August bank holiday weekend will be serving up an amazing selection of flavourful ice cream sticks for the whole family.


 

Dirty Martini

Renowned for a bespoke range of Martinis and extensive selection of cocktails, Dirty Martini will joining the festivities with a selection of blended Ice-Tail cocktails. From Frosés to Passionfruit Daiquiris, Dirty Martini will be keeping you cool over the bank holiday weekend.

Venchi, the legendary ‘chocogelateria’ from Turin, will be bringing authentic Italian ice-cream and chocolate-flavoured delights to the Piazza.

From the very moments it first opened in 2013, Amorino Covent Garden has served every customer the highest quality gelato using the most natural and organic ingredients.

What's more, vegan customers can also enjoy a wide range of delicious and refreshing sorbetto, with the newest addition of the all-time favourite Marwardi Pistachio Sorbet.
