Northbank’s Cleaner Streets Initiative

Throughout 2017, people in the Northbank and Covent Garden community tested various walking routes in the area for pollution exposure. Embankment station to Covent Garden via John Adam Street showed a 47% reduction in air pollution exposure by choosing to walk along John Adam Street.

The long term ambition of this campaign is to raise awareness of the street and the benefits of using the routes and back streets in general to get to Covent Garden
