From Balthazar's new FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea to a tea-themed Central Avenue Market, we've rounded up some of the best ways to celebrate all things tea for National Tea Day on 21st April in Covent Garden.

Central Avenue's Tea Market

Visit Central Avenue's Afternoon Tea Market

From Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd April, Covent Garden’s Central Avenue will transform into the ultimate afternoon tea-themed market where you can sample teas and pick up a range of delicious sweet treats.

You'll find a curated selection of cakes from Balthazar's new FLOWERBX afternoon tea, speciality teas from the East India Company, freshly-baked sweet treats from Sweetheart Cupcakes and for those wishing to pair their sweet treats with a cup of tea, Whittard will be offering free tea samples - the Covent Garden Blend Tea is a must.

Stalls will be open from 11am - 7pm every day from Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd April.

Enjoy a Delicious Afternoon Tea

Born in London, the ritual of Afternoon Tea has been loved by generations for almost two centuries. Covent Garden is home to some of the very best spots to indulge in tea, cakes, sandwiches and Champagne - what better place to do so than in the historic Covent Garden Piazza.

Balthazar FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea

Try Balthazar's New Floral Afternoon Tea

If you haven't yet had the chance, this week is the perfect opportunity to try Balthazar's new afternoon tea in collaboration with the online flower delivery service taking the UK fashion industry by storm; FLOWERBX.

This new partnership is as beautiful as it is delicious. Diners will enjoy a selection of cakes that represent the season's most exquisite flowers and seasonal blooms alongside finger sandwiches, scones, tea and a special FLOWERBX Fizz cocktail.

Taste Whittard's Covent Garden Blend Tea

Created uniquely for Covent Garden, Whittard's Covent Garden Blend Tea is Covent Garden in a teacup.

Inspired by the sights and scents of Covent Garden, this delicate blend of Ceylon tea is layered with hints of peach and apricot, with a glorious cascade of petals to pay homage to the area's blossoming history as a fruit and flower market.
