Mrs Riot

Henrietta Street's newest resident, Mrs Riot. An ode to Kitty Clive, a pioneering feminist who transformed the London scene in 1700s. This experience led bistro and cocktail bar offering mind-blowing live entertainment every day of the week. Interiors designed by Hollywood film designer Sonja Klaus, Mrs Riot is not only a feast for the eyes but the soul. Whether its signature cocktail or a curated wine, Kitty will definitely be returning for an unexpected curtain call.

The curtain has been raised and the lights dimmed in my most vivacious cocktail bar and bistro, Mrs Riot.

Betwixt the façades of Covent Garden’s Henrietta Street lies my rambunctious den where sumptuous Georgian sophistication meets punk London. On my carefully curated menu, you’ll find free-flowing drinks – just how I like them – and show-stopping platters piled with mouthwatering morsels, from fresh burrata and delicately sliced meat to satisfyingly salty bar snacks.

Mrs Riot’s main priority is always her audience. We’re open seven days a week and boast two floors, two stages, and an outdoor terrace area. Each visit becomes an experience as live acts perform every day, including a one-of-a-kind vegan cupcake drag brunch each Saturday. No matter which day you choose to visit, you could find yourself twisting and twirling to jazz, salsa, or maybe even a little funk... In her bohemian haven, Mrs Riot invites you to step into any role you desire.

On Saturdays, Mrs Riot serves unlimited cocktails, divine cupcakes, and raucous realness at London’s first and only Vegan Cupcake Drag Queen Bottomless Brunch. Special guest hosts lead singalongs, lip syncs, runway walks, and all kinds of other drag wickedness. There are dirty deeds to be done and prizes to be won. Unlimited drinks mean that the juices keep flowing – just how our Kitty liked it... Frothy pink Bellini’s, high-class rosehip cocktails and summery Aperol spritzes accompany soft and sweet Ruby’s of London vegan cupcakes for 90 minutes of unadulterated indulgence.

With two levels and two stages, live performances are revelled in every night of the week at Mrs Riot. Regardless of which day you visit, our acts aim to titillate. This incredible live entertainment offering includes the likes of internationally recognised clarinettist, saxophonist, pianist and singer Ewan Bleach, Mlle. Loulou - French accordionist and singer and one of Europe’s most authentic and spirited blues and jazz piano players – Dom Pipkin, to name a few. Full line up and calendar of performers can be found at mrsriotlondon.com/kitty-presents.

Who is Mrs Riot?

Forget Marilyn or Madonna, Mrs Riot was one of the first sirens, rebels and role models to change the course of history. A Georgian celeb, a Regency VIP, she was the most vivacious, vulgar and lucrative icon of 1700s theatreland. Onstage, she tickled her audiences with her slick satire, while offstage she more than tickled those lucky enough to be invited into her inner circle. If you know you know. After almost 300 years, she has returned to the same streets where she was discovered, when singing while cleaning the steps of an actors’ tavern in the heart of Covent Garden. She went on to make these pavements her playground, and now you’re invited to her party.
