Covent Garden will switch on its world-famous Christmas lights on Wednesday 12th November, with
over 300,000 sparkling lights throughout the neighbourhood, the return of the much-loved gold bells in the Market Building, and the iconic 55ft British-grown Christmas tree.
The switch on event will kick off Covent Garden’s 2025 campaign, The Theatre of Christmas. Rooted in the rich traditions of theatre and performance, The Theatre of Christmas will feature a seven-week celebration, inviting visitors to step behind the curtain of Christmas and into an immersive world of festive magic.

Step into The Fragrance Garden this September. A beautiful floral display, designed and planted by Covent Garden's very own horticulture team, simply scan the QR codes to discover more on the scents from renowned brands including Diptyque, GUERLAIN, Dolce & Gabbana, Jo Malone London, Miller Harris, Penhaligon's and more.

🗓 Friday 19th September at 6pm
To celebrate the arrival of The Cut fragrance, Penhaligon’s invites you to an evening of scent and style, hosted in the Covent Garden boutique. Drinks inspired by the scent will be served by Savile Row Gin’s mixologists upon arrival as the in-store experts share the inspiration behind the latest fragrance. To follow, guests can enjoy live embroidery of pocket squares and tote bags before taking home a complimentary gift.
