Britain’s original café-bar serving a legendary cocktail menu from noon.

Beneath the pavement of Shaftesbury Avenue, down a flight of iron steps, lies Freud. Opened as Britain’s first café-bar in 1986, it has been serving legendary cocktails ever since.  By day, it is the perfect spot to relax, take in the papers and enjoy a tea, coffee or cocktail from noon.  As evening sets in, mellow music turns to electric buzz as cocktails shake, glasses clink and the hum of the crowd, regulars and first-timers alike, takes over.
